Missions

Introduction

At Immanuel, the Missionary efforts of the church are overseen by the Immanuel Missions Ministry Team. We invite you to be a part of what God is doing in the wider-world through learning more about missions with us. Please read through the core aspects of our ministry below and talk with any one of our team members:

Janis Taylor - Chair (aka. Team Lead) and missionary from Missouri.

Kristen Smith - Vice Chair and past missionary to Paris France.

Becca Kulah - Secretary and past Mercy Ships staff member.

Matt Galster - Elder Liaison and longest-serving team-member.

Karen Bengtson - Member and Haiti orphanage enthusiast.

AJ Thomas - Member and global military traveler.

Jonathan Romig - Associate Pastor and short-term trip participant.

Short-Term Trips

We send out short-term missions trips lasting 1-3 weeks every year. Our teams try to go back to the same places regularly, so as to build longterm relationships and ministry momentum. Some of these places include Mission of Hope in Haiti, Champfleuri in France, REAL in Russia, and The Hartford Project in Connecticut. Learn more on their ministry pages!

Long-Term Missionaries

We support a variety of local New England and global missionaries, reaching from Chelmsford Massachusetts to unreached people groups (Not sure what that means? Checkout the Joshua Project!). As a church, we prioritize evangelistic missionary efforts to the spiritually lost, but we also have a heart for ministry to the needy. This strategy is expressed in our Vision and Mission statements.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Immanuel Missions Ministry Team is to see God glorified in all we do, striving to see the Great Commission fulfilled in our own lives as well as in the lives of the missionaries we support, praying that all nations will hear and respond to the Gospel.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Immanuel Missions Ministry Team is to encourage and support the proclamation of the Gospel throughout the world as well as to encourage a mission-minded heartbeat among the people at Immanuel Church, desiring that all would have a passion for reaching the lost with the Gospel through evangelism, instruction, supporting works of missionaries and works of service, all to the glory of God.
