Dear Church,

In God’s new creation theology, when we are born again our old nature has been crucified with Christ.  So, the old nature called the flesh, died with Christ. That makes the picture of God’s purpose of Jesus dying on the cross twofold: First and foremost, we might be forgiven from our sins and second, we might be delivered from the chokehold of sin.  So, you and I have the strength for all things in Christ who empowers us.  The presence of the living Jesus in us, imparts to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3-4A).  We don’t need to live in defeat.

Attached is an article Jeff Wicox wrote.  It contains some great perspectives worth reading.  I especially love his ‘shower thought’.

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend.  Share Christ with friends and family.

Each One Reach One!

Be Encouraged,
Mathews
