Women's Ministry

Immanuel women’s Ministry exists to glorify God by serving the women and the church body through our commitment to God’s Word and to one another.

Ministry goals flow from the Immanuel Church Vision Statement and focuses on three areas:

Scripture:

To provide opportunities for women to read and study God’s Word with one another [2 Timothy 3:16-17; Titus 2:3-5]

Social Support:

To help women find ways to connect/meet with others [Hebrews 10:25], pray for one another [Ephesians 6:18], encourage one another in Christ [1 Thessalonians 5:11], build relationships and find safe spaces to get Biblically-sound support [Ecclesiastes 4:9-12]

Service:

To help women identify ways to serve in the church, volunteer in the community, minister to women who are hurting or lost, and be equipped to share the gospel in our homes and workplaces [1 Peter 3:15; 4:9-10]

What We Do:

Organize women’s Bible study groups that meet at the church or virtually.
Share resources helpful for practical Christian living
Facilitate activities and events to help build a caring, committed community

Christianity Explaned

Tuesday Evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM | march - June | Zoom

Christianity Explained — March 26^th– April 30^th

A six (6) week study based on the gospel of Mark. It is an excellent class for those who are investigating the claims of Christ, for those who are new in their faith, and those newer in their faith who are interested in sharing the gospel with others through a Bible study.

Tuesday Women's Bible Study

Tuesday Evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM | Zoom

Engaging God’s Word

Join us as we resume our study of 2 Peter. We are currently in Chapter 2 using the Engaging Word study guide. We open with prayer then use an open discussion format to discuss the scriptural verses for that evening. We conclude our study at 7:45 With a closing prayer. Following the study, we have a period of open fellowship and prayer requests.

Thursday Women's Bible Study

Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30 AM | Sept - June | Conference Room

Gospel of John

We meet for fellowship from 9:30-10:00 am and then study from 10:00-11:30 am.

This Fall we will be studying the Gospel of John using the Good Book Guide “John 1–12: Life to the Full: 8-Session Bible Study”. Join us at the church for a time of fellowship, prayer, and digging through God’s Word together.

Fellowship & Discipleship

Fellowship

We have occasional activities such as walks, lunches, Ladies’ Night-Outs for women to relax and get to know one another.

Discipleship

We help women connect in one-to-one prayer and Bible reading partnerships. Email us for more details.

We invite all women to reach out to anyone on the Women’s Ministry Team with questions or thoughts about how we can encourage and support you in your spiritual growth and/or about activities you may be interested in leading or engaging with other women.
